Meet Matt, your coach

I know what it feels like to stand at the edge of a slope, heart racing, wondering if you can make it down.

That fear is real, and I’ve been there.

I’m Matt Grek, ski instructor, communicator, business coach, and dad of three. Over the past decade, I’ve taught in the Alps and UK, helping nervous skiers of all ages find their confidence. Outside skiing, I’ve led international campaigns, worked in government on behaviour change, and coached business teams.

What transformed me wasn’t just more ski drills or just getting a grip. It was mindset work, practical exercises, and small coaching tweaks that unlocked confidence fast.

Now I use that same approach to help others enjoy every run.

Do you teach skiing online?

No. We focus on mindset and confidence, so your on-slope lessons and time skiing with friends and family will be far more effective and enjoyable.

Who is this for?

Nervous adult skiers, those returning after a period of time away from the slopes. If you’re not sure the sessions are right for you, contact us with any questions hello@abovethecloud.org. We’d love to see how we can help.

How long before my trip should I start?

Ideally 4 to 8 weeks, but we can be flexible. If you don’t see a course or dates that suit you, then do get in touch.

How do I book?

Use the ‘Book Exploratory Chat’ button or directly book the group coaching sessions via this website.

How many sessions do I need?

Most clients start noticing results after two to three sessions.

What if I’m terrified of skiing?

That’s exactly who this is for. We go step by step, at your pace.

Can I do this if my trip isn’t until next year?
